This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how Belong, Inc. and its related companies (“Belong”) collect, use and share personal information of consumer users of this website, belonghome.com, our related sites where this Policy is posted (collectively, the “Site”) and our mobile application (the “App”). The Site and the App are collectively, the Services.
Personal information means any identifying information, usually your name in combination with another identifier, such as date of birth, postal address, email address, telephone number, or government-issued identification number. Personal information does not include anonymous or aggregated data that can no longer be used to identify a specific person, even if combined with other data. The specific definition of Personal information varies from one jurisdiction to another.
We may change this Policy. If we make any changes, we will change the Last Updated date above. Your continued use of the Services constitutes your agreement to our then-current Policy.
WHAT WE COLLECT

Information You Give Us. We collect your personal information when you sign up for a mailing list, create an account as a member, including but not limited to a homeowner or resident, contact us via email, call or text, use our live-chat feature, refer a potential member, submit an application to rent a residence listed on our Services, or as part of other online services.

- Name, email address, phone number, mailing address, social security, date of birth, gross monthly income, contact information, credit score, background check, driver’s license or government issued ID for verification

We may also collect information from you when you register for a referral or sign up as a member using account credentials from third-party services such as Google, Facebook or Apple (“Single Sign” or “SSO”). If you choose to use SSO, we will receive certain information such as your name, email address, and any other information that you authorize us the provider of the SSO to share with us. We use this information to provide the Services to you and communicate with you. We do not control their privacy practices, so please refer to the terms of use and privacy policy of the SSO. You may disconnect your SSO account from our Services by contacting us.

We may use Plaid Technologies, Inc. (“Plaid”) to verify your bank account, confirm you bank account balance, view your bank account transactions, and confirm your identity. COLLECTING INFORMATION FROM CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 16
Our Services are not designed or targeted for children, and we do not knowingly collect, maintain, or use personal information from any person under the age of 16. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we may delete such information. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s internet usage and to help enforce our Policy by instructing their children never to provide personal information on our Services without their permission. Emails and Marketing
Our marketing emails tell you how to “opt-out.” If you opt out, we may still send you non-marketing emails. Non-marketing emails include emails about your accounts and our business dealings with you. You can request to change contact choices, opt-out of our sharing with others, and update certain types of personal information such as your email address through your account or by contacting us directly.
On the App, users may enable Belong to send push notifications about updates to their account. Push notifications may be enabled or disabled through your device settings.
SMS Communications
By providing your phone number, you consent and agree to opt-in to receive text messages. Message frequency depends on the transactional messages and marketing, and other services provided. You may opt out of receiving text messages by replying “STOP” to any message you receive, or you can opt out of these communications by contacting us at hello@belonghome.com and sharing the phone number that you would like to opt out. You may also reply “HELP” for help. Message and data rates may apply.
We may disclose your SMS opt-in or consent status, with affiliates or third parties that help us provide our messaging, including but not limited to platform providers, phone companies, and any other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages. We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
COOKIES, PIXELS, AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
We use cookies, pixels and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Services and store certain information. Tracking technologies used are beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze our Services. The technologies we use may include:
Pixels

Non-Discrimination
We will not discriminate against you in a manner prohibited by the applicable state privacy laws because you exercise your privacy rights. While you may request to delete your personal information, such deletions may affect our ability to offer the Services to you.
DO NOT TRACK AND GLOBAL PRIVACY CONTROL

Our Services are targeted to users in the United States.
